I'm a teacher, writer and videographer. I love all of it.
In spite of my perpetual single-ness, I consider myself quite lucky. For one thing, I don't have my soul sucked out of me on a daily basis by flickering fluorescent light bulbs. I go to work and am usually greeted by people--large and small--who seem genuinely happy to see me. I come from a cool family made up of sarcastic, artsy types (which I like). I don't live in Wyoming (not that I have anything against people who come from or live in Wyoming... stop emailing me already!). I have a (un)healthy streak of self-awareness and a keen sense of the absurd in all its glory. I drive a yellow car, which makes it easy to find in a parking garage. I've enjoyed some artistic success in recent years.
So, yeah. I have a good life. Now, I'd like to make it better.
My Ideal Person:
- You're not self-absorbed. You have a great sense of humor about yourself.
- You're a bit nerdy and are proud of it
- You're not a flake
- You're not a snob when it comes to pop culture. You appreciate arthouse films and indie rock, but love a so-bad-it's-good popcorn flick or insipid pop song once in a while.
- You're just as comfortable with your imperfections as you are with your perfections.
- You're happy, but like me, you want to add to that happiness and that's why you're here.
