Taking yourself serious when you've resorted to on-line dating is hard....
Taking your self seriously when you paid for the service through a paper that makes it's money poking fun at the absurd is even harder.
I've been been called a cynic, sarcastic, idealist but not quite jaded.
I believe an ability to laugh at one's self is invaluable, hopefully inevitable, and makes life a lot more bearable for the people around you. I figure if you're going to the Onion for dating you've got to have some sense of humor.
My Ideal Person:
Social change is important and I find women who are skeptical of capitalism, not apolitical and have interests beyond pop culture highly attractive.
Anyone with an interest in hiking, camping, canoeing, sailing or climbing are given special consideration.
And an appreciation of the arts, theater, live music (Jazz, Blues, Bluegrass, and roots rock, and an obsession with travel are endearing qualities which won't go unnoticed.
